Training healthcare professionals at a distance? A real challenge. Emmanuelle Roya, Head of Pedagogy, and Ruben Attal, Training Integrator at Formideo, know this all too well. With learners who are often overworked, geographically dispersed, and sometimes uncomfortable with digital tools, maintaining a high level of engagement can feel like solving a puzzle.
But Formideo found a simple and powerful solution: Wooclap. During a webinar hosted by Cécile George (Customer Success Manager at Wooclap), they shared their feedback on using the tool in their virtual classrooms.
Formideo is a training organization based in Aubagne that has been supporting healthcare professionals in developing their skills for over 10 years. Doctors, nurses, physiotherapists: more than 10,000 healthcare professionals have been trained through their predominantly remote offering.
👉 Their specialty? Two main formats:
But remote learning also means… a risk of disengagement.
Our biggest challenge was turning a format that really tests learner engagement into a pedagogical opportunity.
Emmanuelle Roya, Head of Pedagogy at Formideo
This is where Wooclap comes in. For Formideo, the tool quickly became an obvious choice to address several pedagogical challenges:
One common barrier to adopting new tools is technophobia. At Formideo, not all trainers are tech experts. Yet Wooclap won them over thanks to its ease of use.
What we liked was how intuitive Wooclap is. Even those who are less comfortable with digital tools were able to adopt it easily
Ruben Attal, Training Integrator at Formideo
The team set up a short onboarding program (1 hour), supported by a pedagogical guide and one-minute video tutorials to ensure everyone’s autonomy.
The cherry on top: Wooclap’s integration with Zoom, their virtual classroom tool, provides a seamless experience without switching interfaces.
At Formideo, the approach is collaborative. Ruben centralizes trainers’ requests, integrates activities into Wooclap, and then gradually hands control over to them. This progressive support strengthens autonomy and improves training quality.
Trainers start by using the activities that are created for them, then little by little, they add their own interactions: word clouds, polls, open-ended questions…
Emmanuelle Roya, Head of Pedagogy at Formideo
Content is shared through the creation of a Wooclap “institution,” making it easier to collaborate and build collective expertise.
Feedback has been unanimous: training sessions are more dynamic, discussions are richer, and the learning experience is more memorable for participants. The word cloud, in particular, has become a favorite tool to kick off discussions or re-engage attention during a session.
For an organization subject to DPC requirements and funding constraints, the tool also makes it possible to create more engaging assessments while still meeting administrative criteria.
Formideo’s experience proves one thing: interactivity is not a luxury, but a necessity in distance learning, especially in demanding fields such as healthcare.
Wooclap stands out as a key partner in transforming passive sessions into lively learning experiences that are accessible to everyone, even those who are less tech-savvy.
