Over three months, through our AI Agents Lab, more than 60 professors and instructional designers came together to imagine and test these intelligent assistants.

The result: 5 unique AI agents, here to enhance existing Wooclap question types and designed to solve real classroom challenges.

Co-creation: our secret ingredient for truly relevant, teacher-friendly AI

In a world where many edtech tools release flashy features just because they can, Wooclap chose a different path: building with educators.

Co-creation has been in our DNA since day one. In fact, Wooclap was born in 2015 because professors at Université Libre de Bruxelles wanted a simple, secure way to interact live with their entire class. And we've been following the same recipe for success in the past 10 years.

With the AI Agents Lab, we worked hand-in-hand with educators from North Carolina State University, University of Ottawa, Nanyang Technological University, Universidad Complutense de Madrid, Heriot Watt University, Universitat Politècnica de València, Regent’s University London, and The Hague University of Applied Sciences.

Through interviews and in co-design workshops, they:

• suggested the ideas for new AI agents,
• tested them in real classrooms,
• and shared feedback to fine-tune their impact.

Meet the 5 new AI Agents

1) The Learning Consolidator - Turning simple questions into deeper learning

[Currently available for: MCQ] A Multiple Choice Question lets you quickly check understanding and identify strengths and weaknesses.

The challenge: Multiple Choice Questions are great for a quick check. But once students answer, where do you go from there?

The solution: The Learning Consolidator agent automatically generates a personalized follow-up question based on your students’ responses and the original question. It’s like having a teaching assistant who knows exactly when to push, clarify, or challenge.

This AI Agent helps you reinforce retention through spaced repetition, open new angles for deeper understanding, and keep students actively engaged instead of passively answering.

2) The Idea Generator - Keep the conversation flowing

[Currently available for: Brainstorming] The Brainstorming question lets you collect a group’s ideas, organize them by theme, and see emerging trends in real time.

The challenge: A brainstorming session can stall if students don’t know where to start, or if ideas run dry too quickly.

The solution: The Idea Generator agent proposes fresh answers to enrich discussions, challenge assumptions, or spark new directions. It acts as a gentle nudge to keep creativity alive.

3) The Summarizer - Summarize your students' ideas in seconds

[Currently available for: Brainstorming] The Brainstorming question lets you collect a group’s ideas, organize them by theme, and see emerging trends in real time.

The challenge: Educators often face a flood of inputs without time to identify themes when conducting a brainstorming session.

The solution: The Summarizer agent instantly highlights dominant themes by producing a concise synthesis that you can build on.

The result? You save time, spotlight the group’s major insights, and keep a clear record for your next class.

4) The Image Labeler — Build interactive, visual activities in a click

[Currently available for: Label an Image] The Label an Image question lets you add interactive markers to a visual and encourage active recall through practice.

The challenge: Labeling an image is one of the most popular Wooclap activities, especially in sciences and geography. But manually adding and hiding labels can be tedious.

The solution: The Image Labeler agent does it for you. Upload an image with its labels, and in seconds, the AI automatically places the markers, hides the labels, and sets up an interactive recall exercise.
