When 360Learning decided to organize its first global virtual Regional Kick-Off (RKO), the challenge was straightforward: how do you bring together 200 sales representatives across time zones and keep them engaged, without defaulting to another long, slide-heavy video call?
For Kelly Parks, who co-organized the event, the answer was clear: treat the RKO not as a corporate update, but as a learning experience. The goal was to help the sales force understand the partnership strategy and its value in their daily work, while keeping the format interactive and engaging.
Previously, RKOs often meant a series of slide-based presentations: 30 to 40 minutes of one-way talking, followed by another, then another. In a virtual setting, this approach risked losing participants quickly.
As Kelly Parks explained:
In a traditional virtual meeting, people quickly disconnect, cameras go off, attention drops, and many just ask for the recording. With Wooclap, that wasn’t the case. Everyone had to take part, which made the live session essential.

To prepare for the new format, the 360Learning platform was used to host all the detailed content in advance: slides, explanations, and videos. This ensured participants arrived prepared, allowing the live meeting to focus on interaction and practice rather than one-way delivery.
During the RKO, Philippe Swamy, Partnerships Manager, who led the session, built a sequence combining short recaps with Wooclap activities. Sales representatives competed in question-based challenges, revisiting key concepts from the pre-work.
As Philippe, who led the session, reflected:
What I loved most about Wooclap was how simple it was to use and how quickly it got everyone participating. The energy stayed high throughout, no one was just a spectator.

The competition element, supported by a small prize, helped sustain energy throughout the session. Kelly emphasized that this format was not just engaging but also practical:
“Wooclap gave us more autonomy to control when questions appeared and closed. With other tools, it was harder to manage timing in such a large group.”
For participants, this RKO was more than a corporate update. It was closer to a training workshop. Rather than listening passively, sales reps actively tested their knowledge and reinforced learning in real time.
This interactivity made the live presence valuable: while the pre-work secured knowledge transfer, the live session offered energy, competition, and peer-to-peer engagement that a recording alone could not replicate.
By combining pre-work on 360Learning with live interactivity on Wooclap, the RKO successfully:
As Kelly summed up:
We wanted to avoid a top-down format and keep people engaged from start to finish. Wooclap made that possible.
